We started in 1989 as small bar and young married couple looking to provide Bakersfield with a great place to catch a game and have a cold beer. Shortly after we outgrew the Bar no bigger than a bedroom to a full scale restaurant on 19th Street. From there we added a great menu inspired by Greek and American cooking anchored by awesome beer, pizza and buffalo wings.

We then moved in 2008 to our current location at 18th street in the old Far East restaurant that had been vacant for a decade after a fire. From there we added an upscale menu with many of the original favorites such as the Gyro and Loonies Burger. In early 2016 we have given our establishment a fresh paint job and brought some newly inspired culinary creations. We even changed the logo and are now known as "The Goose" such as our friends, family and regulars know their favorite grill and bar as.
